Bar/Restaurant  -  Opening Times:  8am until 8pm

Our Breakfast Menu is available from 8.00 am until 12.00 pm everyday and our Lunch Menu is served from 11am until 3 pm and offers a delicious choice        
for everyone to enjoy, whether you want a quick snack or something more filling.
Our Bar is open until 9pm for drinks, however we finish serving food at 3pm everyday unless we are holding an event.

Local Area
Blacknest is a village in Hampshire and in the parish of Binsted.  The Country Club is located in The South Downs National Park which is England’s newest national park and covers the area from Eastbourne to Winchester

Climate
Hampshire has an average temperature of 9 °C (48.2 °F).  January is the coldest month with temperatures around 2 °C (35.6 °F), while June and July are the warmest months with average temperatures of 25.5 °C (77.9 °F).

Area and Population
Alton is within 5 miles of Blacknest and is a Hampshire market town with a population town of 17,816 and recorded in the Domesday Survey of 1086.  While Farnham has a population of 39,488 and is situated in the county of Surrey, it boasts many historic buildings which include a number of Georgian houses and Farnham Castle that overlooks the town

Birdworld
Birdworld is much more than a bird park with Jenny Wren Farm and Underwater World, it’s an ideal day out for all ages.  The bird displays and feeding give visitors a real experience.

Alice Holt Forest
Alice Holt is predominately an ancient oak forest which in the 18 ^th & 19 ^th centuries supplied timber for building of ships for the Royal Navy, it is now planted mainly with conifers.  The Forestry Commission took over the management of the forest in 1924 and is part of the South Downs National Park.  Today the forest offers walking, cycling, playgrounds, picnic areas and Go Ape. https://www.forestryengland.uk/alice-holt-forest

Frensham Ponds
Owned by the National Trust, Frensham Common covers around 1,000 acres of attractive open Surrey heathland, a wealth of wildlife and two ponds (the Great Pond and Little Pond).  The Great Pond has a sandy beach where you picnic and play or even take a wild swim, but always check water quality beforehand.

Jane Austen’s House
Chawton is a picturesque village where Jane Austen wrote many of her famous novels including Pride and Prejudice.  Her home is now a museum and gives a real insight into the author and her life .

Farnham Castle
Farnham Castle stands on the crest of a hill overlooking the town, it has an impressive motte and ‘shell keep’ of a castle founded in 1138 by Henry Blois, Bishop of Winchester and brother of King Stephen.  The castle was rebuilt in the late 12 ^th and early 13 ^th centuries, but a viewing platform reveals the buried remains of an earlier tower.

Mid Hants Railway - Watercress Line
The Mid Hants Railway, known as The Watercress Line, is one of the most successful heritage railways in the country.  It started life in October 1865 and runs along a 10 mile stretch from Alton to the picturesque town of Alresford.
